I'm Katherine, a psychotherapist

based in West London: Ealing, Northfields and Paddington and online

If you want someone to talk with and share your emotional turmoil, I'm an experienced UKCP-accredited psychotherapist.

I offer short-term counselling and long-term psychotherapy for individuals and couples face-to-face in counselling rooms in West London: Ealing, Northfields and Paddington, or online.

About me

My therapeutic approach for counselling and psychotherapy is warm and holding, using my training in integrative psychotherapy to offer a combination of different approaches, such as person-centred, Gestalt, CBT, transactional analysis and transpersonal psychotherapy.

I trained for 6 years at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in West London and qualified in 2020.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory online meeting for us to meet to see if we would like to work together.  After the introductory meeting, if we wanted to continue to work together, we could meet weekly, for 50-minute sessions, either face-to-face at counselling rooms in West London: Ealing, Northfields or Paddington, or online.  We could meet for an initial 6 - 8 sessions and then review to see if we both wish to continue for the longer term, reviewing as often as required.  The first 50-minute session would be an assessment of your requirements and your objectives for therapy.

I have availability during weekdays and evenings.

Individuals: Fees start from £70 per 50-minute session.

Couples: Fees start from £100 per 50-60 minute session.

Counselling and psychotherapy

Counselling is often short-term, to help a person deal with a specific, single episode in their life, such as a bereavement or a relationship separation.  Psychotherapy is considered longer-term, where a person can explore their inner thoughts and feelings more deeply and consider changing patterns of behaviour and ways of approaching life’s challenges.

Counselling and psychotherapy can be seen as learning to understand ourselves more and being curious as to why we may behave or react in a certain way.  Counselling and psychotherapy can help to separate the tangles of our inner life.

For you to benefit from counselling or psychotherapy and to gain support and insight, it is crucial for you to feel safe in your relationship with your therapist and that their therapeutic approach meets your needs.  Therapy sessions can often feel strange as many therapeutic approaches do not take the conventional conversational approach and silences can feel awkward.

There are many different forms of therapy and therapeutic styles and sometimes finding the right approach and the right therapist takes time and is not always that straightforward.

I offer a free 15-minute online introductory meeting for us to see if I may be the right therapist for you and to see if we would like to work together.
